“A breath of fresh air on our wedding day!… If you want someone with great energy and vibes, who will deliver photos that represent you, Brandon is a perfect choice.”

I’ve known Brandon a long time, but my partner did not know him before we met to see if he’d be a good fit for our wedding. Now we are confident that Brandon was the perfect photographer for us. His personality was very go-with-the-flow while still being efficient and effective at getting us the shots we wanted to capture. He gave us direction and ideas, but we never felt pressured to do anything we weren’t comfortable with just for the sake of a picture. Though we were nervous about our engagement photo session, the time just flew by. Having spent time with Brandon on the engagement photos, we were more comfortable on our wedding day with him, too. On our wedding day, Brandon and Josh captured the essence of the day, and all the shots we wanted. When we got our galleries from the engagement shoot and our wedding, we had so many wonderful pictures to use. Brandon’s photos show us as we really are, and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. If you want someone with great energy and vibes, who will deliver photos that represent you, Brandon is a perfect choice.

The portraits always turn out looking natural and bring out the true personality of each person. Brandon is accessible, responsive, and always exceeds our expectations. We would (and have) recommended Roost Photography to others!”

Worth every penny. You will not regret it. Best decision we ever made!!

Brandon's work speaks for itself, but it is the result of extreme talent for cameras and lighting, and especially working with people.
He knew exactly when to help guide things and when to step back and capture some beautiful moments. He knew all the best spots and how to work with our venue. He helped with our schedule and making sure we got everything on our shot list, but still got to relax and leave room for natural moments.
Of all the vendors to invest in for your wedding - your photos will last the longest and it helps to have someone you trust, is easy to work with, and does great work. Brandon is a triple threat, we highly recommend!

“I truly cannot recommend Roost Photography enough.”

“Brandon is passionate about capturing the joy in people's special moments, and it reflects through his work- you can somehow feel the love behind his brilliantly and expertly edited photos. On a human level, he is kind, genuine, caring, attentive, helpful, and friendly to everyone he encounters. Roost is a safe and inclusive place for all people and proudly works with many LGBTQ+ couples.

We hired Roost as our wedding and engagement session photographer. Here's why you should, too:
1. Photographing your most special moments is Brandon's passion. He genuinely cares about the people he works with and the photos he takes. He won't just do the job by checking items off a list, but rather will work until he is fully satisfied, knowing he has captured your special day or moment from every angle.
2. Brandon has a natural eye for lighting and photo backdrops. Walking around with his palm outstretched in front of him and stopping his subjects whenever the shadows are just right, you will not get a single photo with questionable lighting from Roost. He also utilizes the area around him (cityscape, buildings, architecture) as beautiful backdrops for his shots.
3. He's easy to contact. He's always available and responsive on social media, and you can schedule a phone or zoom with him any time. We had an extremely helpful planning meeting before the wedding in which Brandon's expertise actually helped us nail down our timeline. You won't have to worry about tracking him down to deliver your photos either, as he will keep you updated on the expected delivery time.
4. He will honor your vision for your special day or event. If you give him a specific vision, he will move mountains to make it happen, literally running through crowds of people to capture the next shot if he needs to.
5. Brandon is competitively priced among other photographers in the area, but will deliver more to you than the average photographer in the area… and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. Roost is an extremely great value for the price.
6. He's just the best photographer in Milwaukee. Everyone who sees my engagement or wedding photos tells me how amazing his photos are. My venue even reached out to me for his contact information because they want to use his images as advertising on his website. His work speaks for itself, check out his instagram @roostmke

If you're looking for a photographer for your engagement, wedding, or special event, I cannot recommend Roost Photography enough.

“Best Photographer Ever! Brandon was outstanding.

“My husband and I had never taken professional photos prior to our wedding so we opted for the engagement session in addition to day of wedding photos. Brandon was like our long lost best friend from the moment we met him. He made us feel immediately comfortable and gives such great direction. I love his energy, passion, and especially his editing style. We were married at Turner Hall Ballroom and the photos are to die for. They allow me to relive the entire day every time I look through them. They always say to invest in your photos for your wedding because you'll have them forever. I couldn't be happier with our choice to go with Brandon at RoostMKE. He even got us featured with Married in Milwaukee #goals. Thank you, Brandon. I will recommend you to any and everyone I know!”

“Extremely Talented and Thoughtful… My husband and I could not be happier with our choice to hire Brandon of Roost Photography to capture our wedding day.

We really wanted the best of the best, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we met him, we knew he would be the perfect fit for us.

The photos from our day turned out beautifully. He captured our day in the exact way that we had hoped. The photos of the two of us showed our love for one another, and our personalities came through, too. He caught all of the details and special moments - even the one of a post-ceremony chat with Grandma. Every shot is well thought out from the composition, to the angle, to how the light hits the subject just right, to the overall mood. There is an abundant amount of care and attention that goes into each photo and it shows.

Not only is Brandon an extremely talented photographer, but he also is a great presence to have around on such a crazy day. Being in front of a camera can make a lot of people feel awkward, but his direction and calm demeanor made everyone feel at ease.

We would 100% recommend Roost Photography if you're looking for both great quality and care.
Thank you again and again, Brandon!”

“Quality photography was the number one most important factor in our wedding planning, and we got exactly that by hiring Brandon of Roost Photography.

Brandon was easy to work with from our first consultation, through the whirlwind planning (4 month engagement), for an awesome date night engagement photo session, and clearly-the entire day of the wedding. We never felt like we were just another job to Brandon. We got to know each other, and valued his advice on all things wedding related. We had a couple of non-traditional items in our wedding that have special meaning to us. Brandon picked up on what was important to us and made sure to include all the special items and events. Brandon's passion and experience is evident in his work. We had an incredible wedding day, and now we have the pictures to remember it forever.”

Choose Brandon, you won't regret it!

My husband and I had Brandon photograph our wedding this September and we couldn’t have been luckier! From the very beginning he was responsive, helpful, and organized which is key when you’re planning such a big event. He even offered to (and did) chauffeur us around on our big day since we decided against renting a party bus. (What a guy!) Not only is Brandon an all-around awesome person to spend a day with, but he’s got the skills to match. Wedding photos are one of the few tangible things you keep from your wedding day so we placed a lot of importance in picking the right photographer. We really admired Brandon’s previous work and when it came to our wedding Brandon did not disappoint! Not only did he capture beautiful photographs we get to show people for the rest of our lives, but he managed to make them look just as magical as the day felt. Thank you, Brandon! We are so grateful.

“I can't even begin to say how wonderful Brandon was from start to finish.

We were out of state and he had several video calls with us, coordinated an engagement shoot on a trip to Milwaukee, and has been so communicative throughout the entire process. Our wedding day was a little iffy with the weather, and Brandon brought umbrellas and took all necessary precautions. He made the most of the weather and even made sure we got outside for the only 30 seconds the sun peaked through all day. We have not gotten our entire gallery back (yet!), but he has been very honest about timeline and has sent sneak peeks and images here and there to keep us updated. All of the photos I have seen so far are INCREDIBLE and I am already looking forward to doing anniversary and lifestyle shoots because he's just that good. Brandon is creative, friendly, and hilarious. He puts everyone at ease during photos, and I am so excited to see the rest. If you hire Brandon you will not be disappointed. He truly is amazing at what he does.”

“Roost Photography was amazing!

Planning a wedding during the shutdown & pandemic was not the easiest scenario; Brandon was flexible and helpful. We cancelled our big wedding and rescheduled a mini wedding at our parent's house. He was on board the entire time, even through the back and forth while we were trying to figure out what was important to us. What amazing photography! He captured the drama I wanted along with the bright outdoor wedding I was picturing. The day was perfect! Brandon was right there for every moment. Thank you, Brandon. We appreciate you so much!”

“Brandon does amazing work!! He is so talented.

Our wedding photos are beautiful. He captured our many emotions throughout the day. He is so kind, fun-loving, and easy to work with. We were really thankful for his clear & knowledgeable direction the entire day. We appreciated how he took the lead on all things related to our photos. He is very professional, yet so personable. We could not have asked for a better photographer for our wedding day! We highly recommend Roost Photography to our (MANY) friends who are in the engagement/marriage season :)”

“Brandon did such a great job with our wedding photos.

I am so glad we went with Roost Photography! He met with us several times and planned out every step of the day, and was super flexible and receptive. It rained throughout our wedding day, but Brandon had planned out several beautiful outdoor, covered locations to shoot at so we still got amazing outdoor pictures in spite of the weather. He put us at ease and gave really great directions that made shooting easy and the pictures natural looking. The packages are also a great value. I would truly recommend Roost Photography to anyone.”

 -Melissa & Ryan

Brandon is the BEST. No questions asked!

I cannot speak highly enough about Brandon at Roost Photography. He is the absolute best. Besides his glorious photography skills, my favorite thing about Brandon is his character. He is generous, humble, selfless, and hilarious. He has quickly become one of my favorite people EVER - it was an honor and a privilege to be able to spend time with him on my wedding day. Brandon also made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, which was very important to us. We never felt awkward, uncomfortable, or posed. Brandon also did our engagement photographs, which turned out absolutely perfect. I would 100% recommend Roost Photography over and over again.”

This is the photographer you want for your wedding

We couldn't be happier with our experience having Brandon as our wedding photographer. He has a warm way of connecting with you (and we only met him on our wedding day so that says a lot). We knew from the moment we set up our initial video chat that he was our guy. He's extremely responsive, caring, thorough, and an all-around great guy - all the qualities we were looking for in a photographer. He does a great job of taking into consideration all of the shots on your "wish list" and he sure did deliver for us! His photos made us smile, laugh, and cry they were so touching. We got married in March in Milwaukee so, as you can imagine, the weather was quite cold and we had lots of rain/sleet. That didn't stop Brandon from making sure to get all the photos we were hoping for. He braved all the elements of that day with us and made it enjoyable! Without hesitation, we highly recommend Brandon for any and all of your events.”

“I had to write a review of the experience with Brandon
on our wedding day, because he was so fantastic!

First off, we planned our MKE wedding from Connecticut and Brandon was incredibly helpful. We had a couple Zoom meeting with him to go over details and we were very impressed with his organization and thoughtfulness. Our wedding day was perfect, and Brandon brought so much fun energy and had really unique ideas for photography locations. All of our guests LOVED working with him. We really can't find the words to express how grateful we are to him for all of his hard work. Brandon sent us a "sneak peak" video montage of special moments from our wedding day a few days after, and it is just perfect! We've watched it about a hundred times and it has us so excited to see the rest of the photos. Best wedding photographer in Milwaukee!!

 -Emma & Jon

“We couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer!

Brandon was responsive, knowledgeable, personable, and a breeze to work with. In addition to taking wonderful shots of the wedding party and family, Brandon managed to capture all of the little moments throughout our day that we didn't know we missed. Our final wedding album was a true representation of our entire wedding day and all those we celebrated with. Brandon was also super flexible with choosing locations -- we ended up going to a bookstore for a series of shots because we're both avid writers and readers. So fun. All this to say: Book Brandon now! You won't regret it.”

He was incredibly organized and made it easy to plan our wedding from out-of-state. Brandon’s creativity, dedication, and kindness truly make him a wonderful photographer for any occasion.

“Brandon was highly recommended to us by a close friend. He was very responsive, clear, and efficient. He was also incredibly friendly, kind, and easy to work with. “We were beyond lucky to find Brandon

…when our initial photographer fell through. He did an amazing job with our photos and went above and beyond to accommodate the many changes that had to be made due to the pandemic. He was on time, professional, and extremely patient especially with our five year old daughter.”

 -Abi & Sam

We were incredibly lucky that our original photographer referred us to Brandon…

He was easy to work with. We wanted to set up a video call to get to know him, and he immediately put us at ease with calm confidence and an easygoing, understated sense of humor. He explained to us the plan that he would be the "boots on the ground" while our original photographer would still do the editing, talked us through plans for the day, and asked us questions to get us thinking about the kind of prep we'd need to do for the shots we'd want.

On the day of, he arrived on time and quickly got to work. He did a great job of taking our ideas and feedback and synthesizing it with his own professional knowledge of photography and experience with weddings to get a variety of really excellent shots. And more than that, with such a small guest list of immediate family only, as you can imagine, everyone was juggling at least a couple of responsibilities, and Brandon rose to the occasion, helping us coordinate shuttling me around to avoid seeing my bride-to-be or her dress before the appointed time. He even hopped on the task of restarting our jury-rigged audio setup - a bluetooth speaker hanging from a tree - when it had gone to sleep during the ceremony and failed to activate for our recessional. This small act - just quickly stepping over and fiddling with a button - nonetheless is indicative of the kind of value Brandon brings: he takes responsibility onto himself to ensure your day is a success. At the same time, he's not pushy or domineering. For example, we wanted some photos with specific things in the background, and he let us know that the lighting conditions would be challenging, but he worked with us to find the angles to everyone's satisfaction.
Now back to the quality of the photos: we couldn't be happier. I'm not sure to what extent he had to modify his own photography technique, given that he knew someone else would be doing the editing. But I'm certain that this is more of a challenge than taking photos that you know YOU will be the one to edit. For photos that Brandon both takes and edits, his website has some very nice galleries. I'm happy to report that his ability to take high quality base material, and his ability to work in a team with other photography professionals, resulted in an outstanding final product.

If you're considering hiring Brandon as your wedding photographer, I would wholeheartedly recommend him. His skill and adaptability will leave you with a wonderful record of your special day. Though we would not have been directly affected, we appreciate that his philosophy is that love is love, and he photographs all weddings without concern for the gender makeup of the spouses.
