Emily + Ryan's Delavan, Wisconsin Wedding at the Treasury!
Emily and Ryan’s wedding day occurred in downtown Delavan's gorgeously reimagined bank, The Treasury.
Since 1909, the bank that became the Treasury has resided on its red brick street in downtown Delavan, Wisconsin. A bank no more, The Treasury retains a luxury feel, styled clean white, restored brick, and Gold accents. Overall, the effect is beautiful and perfect for weddings. The original vault remains, offering a clever spot for wedding pictures, guest books, or late-night snacks. The event space is complemented by a bright, roomy bridal suite, perfect for primping or escaping to regroup. Delavan has all the small-town Wisconsin charms one might expect, with a wonderfully preserved downtown square, which the Treasury overlooks. As a wedding photographer, I enjoyed the small-town charms of Delavan - there were lots of great spots to capture portraits around the building and inside of it, too! I can’t wait to shoot more weddings there!
The day started with all the usual stuff—Emily getting ready with her closest ladies before meeting up with Ryan for their first look. There were lots of tears and joy, and then it was time for the couple and their entourage to hit the town for photos and shenanigans.
Emily and Ryan are a striking pair—both look like they were cut right out of a fashion magazine, and this is only intensified when they stand together. Their love infused the whole day with joy and vitality, making taking photos feel like an adventure we were all on together. We even made friends with a cute dog while out on the shoot.
This is a funny part—their ceremony started at the same time as the Delavan homecoming parade. Being downtown, the parade passed right as the couple was trying to exchange their vows. Rather than being a distraction, it felt like even the town was celebrating the couple!
And then it was time to party the night away - and they did with gusto!
One of my favorite parts of the day was sneaking out with the couple at Golden Hour and again for a quick nighttime photoshoot. Overall, we captured so many great moments that narrowing them down for a blog post is hard.
Emily and Ryan are fabulous humans, and I wish them all the Love, Laughter, and Moments that matter as they continue their love story together!
