I founded Roost because every couple deserves a photographer who is excited to tell their story!
Based in Milwaukee, I consider Chicago and Madison home turf too, and I've had the honor of capturing weddings and elopements across Wisconsin — from intimate ceremonies to full celebrations at venues like The Ivy House, Turner Hall, Pilot Project Brewing, and the Milwaukee Art Museum. I've also followed couples to California, Jamaica, and yes, even Iowa. Whatever your story looks like, wherever it takes us, I'll tell it boldly, beautifully, and with a whole lot of fun along the way.
My goal as a wedding photographer is to capture the Love, Laughter, and the Moments that Matter: the tears, the hugs, the people, the joy — all of it. Each couple has a unique story to tell. I will capture your story in a bold and fresh way that reflects your personality and relationship. Of course, the images will be beautiful, stunning, and handsome, but they will also have soul
My approach to wedding photography is built around three things:
love, laughter, and the moments that matter.
LovePhotographing love is different than photographing anything else. Love exists in the moment of human connection — it lives in the container that you and your partner create together, and it's unique to you.
My main priority on your wedding day is to create images that capture your love for each other, and the concentric ripples of love that flow out over your family, found family, and friends.
As your love is unique, I work with you to find the perfect way to freeze snapshots of it in time — without trying to force you into a mold or over-relying on trending poses.
LaughterA wedding is a party celebrating your relationship — and more than anything else, it should be fun. I believe it's my job to make sure every part of working with me feels that way: the planning conversations, the engagement session, and the wedding day itself.
The photos should reflect what the day actually felt like — you and your favorite people, fully alive, laughing until your sides hurt. Honestly? I'll take a gallery full of genuine smiling faces over a viral shot any day.
Moments that MatterFifty years from now, your wedding photos are still going to matter to you. I think about this a lot.
Your gallery needs to be more than a collection of beautiful photographs — it needs to tell your story. That means capturing the moments, people, and experiences that are uniquely yours. Yes, I'll nail the first look, the first kiss, and the first dance. But a big part of my planning process with you is dedicated to understanding the less obvious things — the details and people that will mean the most to you decades from now, even if they don't make it onto a standard shot list.

In my experience, a thoughtful wedding day timeline is the single greatest gift we can give ourselves — it's the invisible foundation that every great photo is built on.
