Catherine the Mooncat!
Catherine is a local, Milwaukee artist and creative (the post title comes from her Instagram: @moon.catt) - She is an aerial hoop instructor, a dog mom, and a nurse by day!
For a few years now I have been an admirer of her creative work - but the stars finally aligned for us to work together this winter.
Milwaukee is pretty frigid and grey in February - so we needed a simple space that gave us the flexibility to work with. We settled in on The Space MKE and it was perfect. The Space is located in the Lincoln Warehouse - a renovated Milwaukee treasure full of vintage and industrial charms. We reserved an hour in the afternoon and the setting sun cast a beautiful grid on the walls. As the Sun flared just before it set, were able to create some otherworldly magic together.
Catherine chose three outfits that each complemented her ruby red hair in different ways! She is a very talented creative and brought personality and feeling to the shoot - and the results were spectacular! I think we created a mood that can be felt throughout the whole collection!
