Angelo & Austin's South Second, Walker's Point Wedding!

Late in September, I shot four weddings in one weekend (sometimes, when it rains, it pours as a wedding photographer), but I was so excited for Austin and Angelo’s wedding day (#4 for the weekend) that I jumped out of bed, ready to go. It was such a delightful day—Austin and Angelo are incredible humans surrounded by other fabulous humans.

They chose South Second MKE to host their wedding celebration. Nestled in Walkers Point, close to the big Rockwell clock tower, South Second has much to offer. The Venue is open, modern, and industrial - with warm wood highlights and large windows. In addition to the main space, there is a balcony bar area that adds even more options. It has a lot of charm and character, but it is also quite flexible - a tabula rosa to fill with your wedding day visions. And when you walk outside, you are in a super cool Milwaukee neighborhood just a block from Paliafito Eco-Arts Park.

Rather than opting for a first look or reveal, Angelo and Austin spent their whole day together, helping each other get ready and hanging out with their festive wedding party. We started our photos with a Champagne toast and then headed to Paliafito Eco-Arts Park to photograph the couple and wedding party. They were all so much fun to be around that the whole day felt like a party.

Back at the venue, Austin and Angelo continued their together trend by walking each other down the aisle before making their promises and declaring their love to each other. And then, it was time to feast and get serious about the party. My new friend, DJ Abu Pablo, dropped a killer playlist and kept everyone hopping for hours!

One of my favorite parts was sneaking out for Golden Hour photos with the couple. I kept an eye on the sun's descent and snuck outside when it was perfect! The way the light travels through the corridors of Walkers Point is really great, and our little ray of sunshine added an exclamation point to an already spectacular day!

Austin and Angelo are amazing. They are the life of the party together, and I wish them so many years of love, laughter, and memories together!
