Julia + Scott's Avante-Garde Milwaukee Art Museum Wedding!

Milwaukee is a Destination. Among Milwaukee’s many jewels, the Art Museum’s Quadracci Pavilion (many call it “the Calatrava” after its designer Santiago Calatrava) stands out. It has become the crown jewel of the MKE skyline and it was the perfect choice for Julia + Scott’s wedding Celebration.

Julia + Scott’s Milwaukee Art Museum wedding was crafted to perfection by Heather Farr Events. Scott and Julia challenged Heather to build their wedding color palette off of the Dale Chihuly blown glass sculpture that used to hang in the entrance of the Museum (and now lives a safer, but less visible life in a hidden corner) - and Heather delivered a luxurious and warm event that was spectacular in every regard!

Scott and Julia began their day at Saint Kate - The Art Hotel - another Milwaukee treasure - and the perfect spot to get ready if your wedding is at the Art Museum. With some fun competitive cooking shows on in the background, Julia and her entourage perfected their looks. Meanwhile a few floors below, Scott and his crew figured out how to tie those troublesome bow-ties. The couple met up for an emotional first look by the grand staircase before heading over to their venue.

The weather was full-on Wisconsin - consistently cold but ever-changing between gale-like snow flurries and open-sky sunshine. Even so we were able to grab some fun photos outside the Art Museum before heading inside to go on a quick tour of its exhibits. We eventually made it to the deep recesses where they hid the Chihuly after someone in recent years damaged it.

Then it was time for the heartfelt ceremony, a delicious feast, and all the amazing partying that followed! One of my favorite parts of the day was a spontaneous modeling session I had with Julia when she switched to her Party Dress. Earlier in they day, I scouted a fantastic basement stairwell and saved it for her party dress - and the results were everything I had hoped for!

Julia + Scott are fun and fabulous humans! I wish them so much love and laughter in their next steps together!
