Bridget + Michael's Wedding at the George and Madcap Lounge!

Bridget and Michael chose the George and Madcap Lounge to host their wedding. I LOVE the George - with its elegant and sophisticated ballroom, its luminescent bridal sweet, and its London speakeasy-styled underground lounge - it has everything you need to be a stunning wedding venue! It was the perfect location for Michael and Bridget’s elegant, romantic, and fun wedding vision!

Bridget took full advantage of the bridal suite as she prepared for her day. There was this perfect little wall mirror that let me capture her expression even as I was photographing her bridesmaids and then her father’s reactions to her. It was magical. While Bridget prepared, Michael’s got to hang out in the Madcap Lounge, have some drinks and play pool with his best men.

After exchanging letters and a private first look - the couple and their wedding party hung out in the ballroom to laugh a lot and also take some pictures. We mostly stayed inside because it was a rainy and windy Wisconsin fall day outside. But after lots of fun in front of The George’s art wall - we braved the weather for a few minutes outside - just beating another rain shower - to make a little magic there too.

The ceremony was full of love, joy, and tears, and then it was time to party in the Madcap Lounge until Dinner was ready! Bridget had a clear vision for what she wanted her wedding to look like, and between The George, Saz’s, and Wild Petals Florals - everything turned out just perfect. Bridget’s dreams about her wedding included A LOT of candles - so she took matters active role in making it happen by making the candles herself!

The food was delicious, the speeches heartfelt - then it was time for the first Dance. The couple even surprised their guests with an incredible lift at the end - then it was time for everyone to join in on the party and dancing! We snuck out for some night photos - with my umbrella! With the sun down, the city life and lights made a cool environment for photos with the George as the backdrop! The couple opted for a low key moment with some sparklers too!

Bridget and Michael are fantastic people and a lot of fun to photograph! I wish them so many years stuffed with joy and love, and fun together!
