Teege + Derek's Monona Terrace Micro-Wedding!
When Teege and Derek were planning their wedding - they decided they wanted to have a big, casual party for all their friends - which they would have first - and then - a small micro-wedding at the very spot they first met - the Parking lot of Monona Terrace in Madision (Yesterday, I posted about how they started with the reception - a casual Wisconsin Barnyard pig-roast at Trimborn Farm! ).

Over a decade ago, Teege and Derek met by happenstance in the parking lot of Monona Terrace while they were both there for separate business pursuits. They hit it off spontaneously, but neither was open to more at the time. Fast-forward a dozen or so years, and they found each other again, and the stars aligned!
When they decided to get married, they chose to have an intimate sunrise wedding at the exact spot they had first met over a decade ago. After meeting up at their desired location to go over the details one more time, Teege left Derek there to reserve their particular spot. In contrast, He went to collect the few family and friends who were waiting at Anora Coffee by the Capitol building. Teege led the “processional” of guests from Ancora Coffee back to Derek and the special spot! Their friend Nick did the officiating, and it was a beautiful moment on a lovely morning in the beautiful city.
Teege + Derek are wonderful humans. I wish them all the years of happiness and many dances to After All by Cher!
