This is a fun story! I met Julianne and Beryl while photographing a different wedding a few years ago. Julianne was a bridesmaid, and Beryl was just along for the ride. They were super cute together, and I thought it would be fun to do a photo session with them, so I suggested that we connect the next time they were in town. About a year later, I was ecstatic when Julianne reached out and conscripted me into her surprise engagement plan! She asked me to help capture her surprise proposal to Beryl - I even got to hold the ring until she was ready for it.

Under the pretense of the photo session I had suggested, we met up in Delafield on the Veterans Memorial Riverwalk. The trail winds through trees and a park, and ends in downtown Delafield at the Fish Hatchery. All along the Riverwalk, there are really lovely views of the river. I love taking photos in this area in the Summer and Fall, but it's fantastic in the winter as well!

After frolicking in the snow along the paths for a while, we found our way to the big bridge crossing the river. At that point, I slipped Julianne the ring, and it was time for the event. Beryl happily accepted the proposal. In fact, Beryl had a different plan to propose to Julianne herself and playfully scolded Julianne for beating her to it.

Julianne and Beryl are delightful humans, and this is just one part of their story that I get to tell! Check out their two weddingsd to see more of their story together!
