Sneak Peek: Casey & Charlie's Schlitz Audubon Nature Center wedding was one for the ages. It delivered on their plans for a fun and joyous wedding day - and was relaxed and stress-free (due in large part to the amazing team of wedding vendors and their wedding planner Ben from Avenue Blue)!

Casey’s day started at the decadent Salon Nova on the east side. Salon Nova’s staff are true professionals - and they know how to pamper brides and wedding parties with sweets, mimosas, and champagne to accompany their amazing service team!

From there, Casey headed to Schiltz Nature Center for her first look with Charlie. Meanwhile, Charlie and his attendants were already there having a great time, getting dressed up and desperately searching google for good videos on how to fold their pocket squares.

Schlitz Audubon is a beautiful and peaceful place to host a wedding. There are lush nature trails teaming with life and flowers, a lagoon with a boardwalk, a cute beach along lake Michigan, and a gorgeous wooded clearing for weddings! With everyone there, dressed and ready - it was time for an emotional first look. The couple then led their wedding party on a casual tour of the pathways stopping to take pictures and laugh - eventually making their way to the beach and Lake Michigan. Then they headed to the clearing to share their vows in front of Milwaukee’s esteemed Judge Mosely and all their friends and family.

One of my favorite aspects of Schlitz weddings is that they invite their Raptors as special guests. You might things that Owls, Eagles, and Falcons are odd fellows at a wedding celebration - but there is no denying how regal they are - and the awe that comes with seeing them up close. Couples have the option of including them in their cocktail hour (supervised, of course), and it really is wonderful.

Starting with Cocktails, the couple moved into the celebration part of the day with signature drinks, grand marches, speeches, dinner, and golden sunsets, all followed by dancing that lasted deep into the night. It was all basically brilliant.

Charlie + Casey are lovely humans, and it was a huge honor to spend the day with them! I wish them the very best in their future together!
