The Fantastic Miss Penelope's Senior Session

Wes Anderson mood board with orange, yellow and red screen grabs from his movies

Penelope’s Wes Anderson Mood Board

The Fantastic Miss Penelope's Senior Session was a glorious collision of inspiration from Wes Anderson and the old-world charm of the Villa Terrace Art Museum! She is an artist to her core and her session was a true collaboration. Penelope came to me with a strong vision for her shoot - she was looking to channel some serious Wes Anderson energy and had a mood board to back up her concept.

After thinking through what was available in Milwaukee, we settled in on the Villa Terrace Art Museum. Styled after a sixteenth-century Italian villa and nestled right into the hillside overlooking the Milwaukee lakefront - Villa Terrace almost looks like it comes right out of a Wes Anderson movie with its old-world charms - it was perfect. We even found some orange drapes that nailed the color palette we were going for.

Her mom came along to carry extra outfits and provide additional input - she also posed with Penelope for a few fun images

For a second location - we chose the East Tosa neighborhood around Center Street Park. It was perfect for its colors - and it is also my favorite neighborhood in the whole city! The leaves and colors kept us right in our targeted palette and even brought in some deep reds from the changing trees!
