Erin + Jesse's American Wedding at Vista (E+J Part 3 of 3)!
Erin + Jesse’s Wedding celebration spanned three days and two cultures. This post covers their ceremony at Vista on Old World 3rd in the heart of Milwaukee’s fabulous Deer district! (to find Vista - head to Deer Camp Bar and look up)! Spending three days in a row with Erin and Jesse was a fabulous change from my normal life as a wedding photographer. Each day just kept getting better, and on the 4th morning, when I awoke with no Jesse and Erin weddings to attend, there was a real sense of letdown - but I am getting ahead of myself as we haven’t even talked about day three yet!

Jesse and Erin chose Vista for the “American” day of their three-day Sikh/American fusion wedding. While this day lacked official Sikh cultural elements - eschewing them for the standard American traditions - the beautiful and colorful outfits and hands full of Henna made the day feel like a Cohesive part of the Sikh Wedding Weekend. I met the couple at one of my favorite spots in Veterans Park. From there, we processed to the Art Museum, the Calling Sculture (Milwaukee giant metal orange asterisk), some meaningful time with larger-than-life Giannis, a quick stop at the Pfister Hotel, and finally to Vista. Along the way, we capture many amazing moments, dance moves, joy, and laughter in front of the amazing backdrop of Milwaukee. Sadly, one of my favorite umbrellas was lost that day - I set it on the roof of my car and forgot about it - but the sacrifice was worth it!
Their ceremony was amazing - The officiant was one of my new favorite humans - a long-time friend of Erin and Jesse. He kept it very personal and fun all the way through. And then it was time for feasting and speeches and so much dancing. It was the perfect conclusion to an incredible weekend of festivities!
I love so many things about Jesse and Erin’s Wedding weekend: the fabulous cultural elements, the food, the outfits, their incredible families, and crazy cool friends - It was a blast to spend three days with the couple and the whole mass of celebrating people who surrounded them. I wish Jesse and Erin all the love and laughter and meaningful moments as they continue their love story and life together!
