Sneak Peek: Boryana + Lenny's Boerner Botanical Garden wedding was breathtaking. The lush trees and floral displays of the Boerner gardens were the perfect backdrop for the intimate circle of friends and family who gathered to witness Lenny and Boryana make their promises to each other.

Starting with an emotional first look, the couple went on a walk through the Garden - taking it all in as we photographed them and their love story. Then it was time for the Ceremony. The rain held off just long enough, and the cloud cover made everything feel saturated with color.

After the Ceremony, I was introduced to a new Bulgarian Wedding Custom: The couple kicks a bucket of water with different color flowers and leaves. The splashing of the water brings good luck, and the position of the flowers vs the leaves is a predictor of the gender of the couple’s firstborn. Very fun to watch!

Following the Ceremony and kicking the bucket - the wedding procession continued to Braise in Milwaukee - one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the city. As much as possible - Braise makes their food from local farms and uses whatever is in season in their exquisite dishes. I cannot overstate how incredible my vegetarian risotto was - I have been thinking about it for days! The food wasn’t the only thing of note - there were so many tears of laughter and joy and memories shared - it was a perfect meal and celebration for the newlyweds

Boryana + Lenny are wonderful and fun humans, and I wish them love and laughter for all their years together!
