Chelsea & Alexanders's LOTR-inspired Jan Serr Studio Wedding!
Chelsea & Alexanders had a whimsical vision for their wedding that involved swords, elvish leaves, a fellowship of the Rings rather than a typical wedding party, Sure, it was LOTR-inspired (Lord of the Rings), but it was also incredibly romantic and fun!

I met up with the couple at an Air B+B on Milaukee’s East Side, where the couple was getting ready separately. They were joined there by their wedding “Fellowship” of 22. Maybe big wedding parties are not for everyone - but their merry band was genius and just incredible to be around - they were armed with swords but were all smiles to work with!
Then it was off to Jan Serr to capture more wedding party photos. I love the convenient location of Jan Serr almost as much as I love its modern industrial vibes - it’s a close thing. Located in one of the trendier spots in Milwaukee, it also happens to be right by the Oak Leaf trail granting access to a surprising amount of trees and green amidst all the buildings. The Venue itself is stunning inside and out - concrete and steel and glass - all with a warm feel to it. We had a lot more fun getting these photos - and it really set the tone for the rest of the celebration to come.
Then it was time for the couple to stand in front of their friends and family and make their forever promises to each other. After all the love and laughter, it was time to party - but only after a quick wardrobe change for the newlyweds. Alex and Chelsea’s outfits for the day were incredible. Chelsea started the day in a magical dress by Studio Levana (they are incredible), while Alex was decked out in a custom Palatini suit. When it was time to party - Chelsea switched it up and jumped in a dazzling sparkly dress from Asos, and Alex left his jacket behind in favor of a classy vest. I am a huge fan of multiple bridal outfits - I think of them as that moment in a rocking song where the key change drops and everything shoots an octave up!
There were so many fun LOTR touches mixed in, and while it wasn’t exactly on theme - one of my replica lightsabers ended up in the photo booth resulting in much mayhem (at one point, the Groom's Grandma and Grandpa had an epic sword fight)!
All in all, it was simply fantastic. Alex and Chelsea are fabulous humans, and I wish them all the love and laughter, and magic in their life together!
